Curriculum Unit Summary: The Ethics of Leadership and Decision-Making

This curriculum unit explores the behaviors of influential leaders who engage in decision-making that prioritizes personal or political gain over the well-being of all stakeholders. Learners will analyze historical and contemporary examples of leadership that demonstrate unethical, authoritarian, or self-serving decision-making. Through real-world case stories and critical thinking exercises, learners will examine the consequences of such leadership on institutions and stakeholder well-being. By the end of the unit, students will be able to critically evaluate leadership behaviors and propose solutions for fostering responsible and ethical leadership in educational contexts.
